BoatKit places supported controls beside the information needed to use them. An autopilot heading adjustment can share a helm view with heading and chart context; stereo zones can join a living-area dashboard; watermaker controls can sit beside tank level and available power. This is more useful than a generic remote-control page disconnected from the state of the boat.

Each equipment adapter still owns its vendor session, native identifiers, diagnostics, capabilities, and safety checks. BoatKit does not pretend that every radar, charger, radio, or watermaker has the same controls, and a control only appears when the connected equipment and current path support it.

Controls require BoatKit administrator access. Helm, radio-transmit, electrical, and machinery actions remain subject to the manufacturer’s procedures and an attentive operator; BoatKit provides an integrated control surface, not autonomous command of the vessel.
