Sensor status lights

Keep pumps, equipment states, and sensor conditions visible with compact labeled lights in a BoatKit dashboard.

A bilge pump starting and a bilge pump running unusually often are different things to notice. A BoatKit status light can show either as a small labeled rectangle beside your instruments. Select one sensor, choose the conditions that matter, and leave the light clear when none qualify.

Each condition has a comparator, a typed value, and a color. Automatic green, yellow, and red colors follow Day, Night, and Overnight themes; a custom hue offers another distinction. Put urgent conditions first so they take priority over lower-level indications.

A continuous-match filter can wait for a pump to remain on for ten seconds. A rolling percentage filter can indicate that it has run for at least 3% of the last minute, including when it is currently off. Combine the filters when both requirements need to hold.

Monitoring runs on the vessel, even when the dashboard is closed or no display is connected. Missing sensor data appears separately from a clear light, and a rolling percentage waits for a complete observation window after a restart or a gap in data. These are visual indications; configuring a status light does not turn it into a sounding or notifying alarm.

Add status lights to custom dashboards and follow the setup guide.
