Siri and Shortcuts are built into the BoatKit app for supported iPhones and iPads. They are enabled per device under Settings > Preferences > Siri, where the app provides guided setup, a live test, and a suggested phrase. There is no separate Siri account-linking flow: requests reuse the signed-in app and its selected BoatKit Cloud vessel.
BoatKit App Intents can read supported categorized vessel data using its friendly source names and preferred units. Administrators can also create, change, pause, resume, rename, or cancel supported automation rules, with confirmation before a shortcut changes vessel configuration.
The selected vessel must be registered and connected for live requests. Turning the preference off hides BoatKit actions and prevents saved BoatKit shortcuts from contacting the vessel. A dedicated device is the normal always-on source; an app-hosted vessel remains subject to the mobile runtime’s lifecycle.
