RememberKit + BoatKit

BoatKit can create an unpublished RememberKit post when an active trip finishes, whether it ends automatically or you stop it manually. Choose a blog you own in RememberKit during authorization, then enable automatic trip drafts in BoatKit. BoatKit fills in the recorded trip name, start and end times, duration, nautical-mile distance, endpoint names, arrival position when available, and notes. It also includes the passage track available in BoatKit’s history when the draft uploads. You add the story and photos, then publish in RememberKit.

From passage to post

The recorded track and arrival position place the draft on RememberKit’s map. Track geometry is simplified for display, with disconnected segments kept separate; the trip’s measured distance stays intact. A trip without recorded track history can still create a draft with its available details.

BoatKit sends the trip’s completion details without synchronizing later edits. Existing trips, history recovery, merges, and splits do not create posts. Delivery retries do not overwrite your writing, undo a publication decision, or recreate a post you deleted.

By default, BoatKit prepares the draft’s editable text with trip start, the timestamped places recorded in Trip Log, and trip end, followed by fuel used when readings are available. Times show the vessel’s configured time zone and fuel follows its preferred volume units. Review this starting passage log, then turn it into your own story.

Make the starting draft your own

Edit the draft post template in BoatKit’s RememberKit settings. Arrange your own text around fields such as $TRIP_NAME, $PASSAGE_LOG, $NOTES, and $FUEL_USED, with headings and bold text where useful. A live preview uses your most recent completed trip so you can check the result before saving. The saved template follows the vessel and its portable backups. Restore the default at any time; posts already created in RememberKit keep your edits.

Drafts wait for connectivity

Completed trips queue locally when Internet access is unavailable and upload automatically when it returns. The queue survives a BoatKit runtime restart. Local trip logging continues throughout the outage.

Turning off automatic drafts pauses pending uploads. Changing or disconnecting the blog discards uploads still waiting for the previous connection. Portable backups preserve the integration settings and blog selection; reconnect RememberKit after a restore because authorization and pending uploads are excluded.

Follow the RememberKit setup guide to connect your blog and check the first draft.
