BoatKit’s Navico adapter discovers supported Navico, Simrad, Lowrance, and B&G radar equipment on the local marine network and manages the vendor-specific session. A compatible scanner then appears through BoatKit’s shared radar interface for a dedicated display, chart overlay, or custom helm view; provider diagnostics remain attached to the integration.
The BoatKit host needs an Ethernet path into the marine network. Tablet use generally requires a compatible Ethernet adapter or powered hub with charging and internet connectivity planned around it, while a dedicated device can remain connected continuously.
