What you need

Tablet

A tablet needs a compatible USB Ethernet adapter or powered hub connected to the Furuno NavNet network. Charging and a separate internet path may require additional network hardware.

Dedicated BoatKit device

A dedicated device can remain wired to NavNet and keep supported radar discovery and data available continuously.

Hardware and network

  • Supported Furuno NavNet radar equipment
  • A BoatKit Ethernet interface connected to the Furuno marine network
  • Model, firmware, and network compatibility confirmed for the installation

Account or license

No Furuno cloud account is used. Compatibility is independently implemented and must be confirmed for the scanner model, firmware, and network.

BoatKit’s Furuno adapter handles supported NavNet discovery and vendor-specific network communication, then registers the scanner with BoatKit’s common radar interface. The source can be used in a dedicated radar item or a saved view alongside the chart and other watchkeeping data.

The BoatKit host needs an Ethernet path into the Furuno marine network. Tablet installations generally require a compatible adapter or powered hub and a plan for charging and internet connectivity; a dedicated device can remain wired continuously.

Support is independently implemented and varies by scanner model, firmware, and network configuration. BoatKit is not affiliated with or endorsed by Furuno, so compatibility should be confirmed for the planned installation.
