BoatKit organizes maintenance around the actual equipment aboard rather than one undifferentiated checklist. A service item can belong to the port engine, both engines, a generator, an appliance, or another maintained component, while shared model and part information can still be reused where it applies.
Schedules can follow calendar time, accumulated operating hours, or whichever threshold is reached first. When the relevant meter data is available, BoatKit uses it to show what is due or approaching instead of treating an engine-hour service like an arbitrary calendar reminder.
Completed work records the date, meter hours, notes, and associated parts or spares. Keeping that history with the equipment makes the next service easier to plan and preserves the context behind replacements, recurring problems, and earlier decisions.
The log is available in the same BoatKit interface used aboard. Authorized users can also review it through BoatKit Cloud while sourcing parts or planning work before returning to the vessel.
